Our Graces

1. Family Ministry

• Hearing the crying from several couples/families experiencing crises in their families and their marriage life, AC Hung-Kim Anh started the family ministry to minister to the families in need.
• MRW has brought about so many fruits for the participating couples. Not only so, but also the couples doing the MRW ministry have been formed in the CLC way of life while embarking on this ministry. The couples in the MRW ministry team have to go through the DSSE process every time they plan for the MRW, and this is the integration of CLC formation into the mission aspect.
• MRW also serves as an avenue to introduce the CLC to others at the end of each workshop.
• MRW creates opportunities for collaboration with others outside DH.

2. CRW

• CRW is a response to the grassroots’ desires. It is not a formation or somebody’s idea imposed on others.
• Where our desires are in sync with God’s desires, the plan will hit the right need of the ones we are sent to serve.
• The planners must attain an internal freedom for following God’s will.
• CRW II aims to raise the awareness in who we are, our identity.
• CRW III aims to raise the awareness of mission.
• CRW program provides potential group’s prayer companions.
• Fruits of CRW for Phoenix: 8 people in the group have desire for doing the 19th annotation.

3. Approach for formation Team
    Northeast:

• i. Inviting those who have desire to be formed and help others to be formed. The focus is not on the talents or experiences, but on the desire of the individual.
• ii. Forming people where they are.
• iii. Huan luyen “Nho Giot”: not delivering the formation components in separate sessions such as discernment, listening. Instead integrating of these components when the need arises.

4. SEED

• a. The core of SEED is to help youngsters to encounter God.
• b. SEED began in DH Phoenix with a simple desire of children for having a retreat together other than a regional gathering once a year.
• c. SEED retreat is led by young adult leaders who speak the same language as the youngsters in term of background, understanding, etc.
• d. The SEED retreats raise awareness in and form both young children and parents in the CLC way of life as simple as doing simple examen of consciousness.
• e. What makes the SEED successful is the collaboration between YaYA ministry and family ministry.
• f. SEED is an avenue for introducing the CLC as several children after attending the SEED retreats want to have their own groups to continue nurturing what they received from SEED.
• g. SEED provides opportunities to empower the young adults in service and servant leadership training.
• h. SEED provides an avenue for DH to collaborate with the local parishes in the parish’s youth ministry.
• i. SEED provides opportunities for building bridges between different generations: young children with young adults with adults (Parents).

5. YaYA
    a. In 2008 cha Tri Dinh was requested to particularly provide formation for young adults. Cha Tri helped form the national and regional YaYA teams.
    b. Fruits of YaYA ministry:

• i. Forming of YaYA groups in DH nationwide: Cum Deus
• ii. Collaboration with the regional formation team, EXCO, SEED in planning and implementing various activities.
• iii. Serving other young adults outside DH through the collaboration with cha Tri in Caritas retreats.

6. Lightwork
    a. LW has been in place for 10 years.
    b. LW is in the process of being reorganized to gain creditability from the local parishes and dioceses so as to extend the LW ministry to serve Christians outside the DH-CLC in the spiritual aspect.

Exercise 7:
Process of Proposal Development and Forming of Corresponding Task Forces for the Discerned Imminent Concerns

1. Review of the post-note board for the most imminent concerns/needs to see which one draws us the most.
2. Get together with others who are also drawn to the same concerns/needs from the post-note board to go through the following process to develop the proposals that are most compelling and practical:

a. First Stage: developing of objectives and guiding principles. In this stage, we will go through two rounds:

• i. Developing the rough draft for others to review and provide inputs.
• ii. Finalizing the draft by integrating the inputs from others.

b. Second Stage: developing of a strategy to realize the set forth objectives. We will also go through two rounds:

• i. Rough draft for others to review and input.
• ii. Final draft

c. Third Stage: forming of task force for implementation
