Dear Friends,
The Lightworks project at the Holy Name of Mary Parish in San Dimas, California will soon begin. After several months of praying and working together in the spirit of discernment and teamwork, building and learning from one another, the Lightworks Team of Dong Hanh Tay Nam humbly makes this announcement and asks for your prayer, sending and support as we move forward.
We will start with an Introduction at all Sunday Masses starts next Sat/Sun October 17-18, 2009. Fr. John Roche, pastor of HNMP requests our Lighworks introduction be right after the homily instead of at the usual end of the Mass, so people will pay more attention. I attach here our announcement in the parish bulletin.
The next step is an Orientation on Saturday morning October 24, 2009, from 9 to 12, to share more in detail the Lightworks program, with the hope that many will sign up for Lightworks One to begin Saturday October 31 through November 21. All the group meetings will be held at HNMP.
We then take a break during Christmas season, and re-convene after New Year to continue with Lightworks Two and Three, ending during Lent of 2010.
The only unknown factor for us is we don't know how many will be interested and open to this program. So we prepare ourselves as much as we can, gather as many helps as we can. And we trust that God will bless our efforts.
Please ask your local communities to join us in prayers for the people at HNMP, send us to this mission and support us with your prayers. May our desire to serve in Lightworks Ministry be pleasing to the Lord.
Gratefully in Christ,
Joanne Hoang Do
