This year's theme is Raise the Roots! Roots nourish plants, they anchor them, and they help them to grow -- and if we develop a strong relationship with God, He becomes the life-giving roots that ground us. We look forward to raising our roots in 3 ways this retreat. 1) Our roots are the graces and gifts that we come from so we want to dig deep and raise (bring to the surface) awareness of the places God has worked in our lives. 2) We also want to raise (nourish and cultivate) new gifts, relationships and energy so that we can branch out and be God's disciples in the world. 3) Raise the Roots is a playful reference to "raise the roof" and we hope to be doing a lot of that as we play and pray to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of SEED Arizona.Minh Vo, Chau Tran
As I write this announcement, I reflect on the history of SEED Arizona and I am filled with wonder at God's power and love for us. 10 years ago I was getting ready to go to SEED for the first time. This year is first year that my sister will lead high school track, the first time my brother will be a SEED leader, the last year my other sister will be a retreatant, the first year my youngest brother will be a retreatant, and my last SEED AZ as regional coordinator. I can see how my own family has grown, and I can only imagine the incredible history of grace that has unfolded for all of the families who have been part of SEED AZ. It has been a blessing to see SEEDlings and leaders grow with each other over the years surrounded by the love and support of their families. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of SEED Arizona -- whether you were a retreatant, a leader, a parent, a priest, or a companion in prayer, you have left a mark on our hearts. Thank you.
Please continue to journey with us by singing and praying with our theme song Fix My Eyes - For King and Country: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NM-Bf9gE0gw
AMDG,
Thao Vy
